CoinTR recommends using two-step verification codes with Google Authenticator to enhance your account security. You can use this additional security layer during transactions or whenever verification is required.
1. After logging into your CoinTR account, navigate to the [Account Center] located in the upper right corner of the page and click on [Security Settings].
2. Click the [Link] button next to the Google Authenticator section. If you have already linked your account, click [Edit] and then select [Turn on Verification].
3. Enable Google Authenticator
You will be redirected to another page. Follow the steps below to enable Google Authenticator:
- Download the App: Download and install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device. Once installed, proceed to the next step.
- Scan the QR Code: Open the Google Authenticator app and tap the [+] button in the bottom right corner of the screen to scan the QR code. If scanning is not possible, you can manually enter the setup key.
- Activate Google Authenticator: To complete the linking process, enter your account password and the 6-digit verification code displayed in Google Authenticator.
Important Notes:
-
Google Play Services: Some Android phones may not have Google Play Services installed. In this case, you may need to download an app called "Google Installer" to install Google framework services.
-
Camera Authorization: The Google Authenticator app may require access to the camera to generate dynamic passwords. You might need to authorize the camera while using the app.
-
Restart Requirement: Some phones may need to be restarted after enabling Google Play Services.
-
Two-Factor Authentication: Once the two-factor authentication feature is enabled, users will need to enter a verification code when logging in, withdrawing assets, or creating a withdrawal address.
